The upper left panel features Noah's Ark, and the middle panel shows an open Bible. In the corresponding panel on the right side are pictured an hour glass, beehive, and mason's tools, all symbols of industry. The two columns and arch of the symmetrical central panel represent Solomon's Temple and form the symbolic setting for Masronry's esoteric rituals. They are performed on the checkered carpet that is designed in perspective, leading to a door. When open, it reveals two Masons. These figures, like the symbolic representations in the upper angles of the central panel, are colored drawings. The date 1899 is marked on the back of the plaque. Glued to the back is an advertisement from a Natrick, Massachusetts, company in business from around 1882 to some time after 1905, confirming the inscribed date and suggesting Massachusetts as the place where the plaque was made.</schema:description><schema:artForm>Sculpture</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/objects/2384/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork><schema:VisualArtwork><schema:image>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/internal/media/dispatcher/4979/full</schema:image><schema:name>Masonic Sign</schema:name><schema:dateCreated>1871</schema:dateCreated><schema:creator>David Morrill</schema:creator><schema:artMedium>Paint and gold leaf on wood</schema:artMedium><schema:artForm>Architecture</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/objects/5062/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork><schema:VisualArtwork><schema:image>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/internal/media/dispatcher/2980/full</schema:image><schema:name>McCarthy Press</schema:name><schema:dateCreated>1958</schema:dateCreated><schema:creator>Ralph Fasanella</schema:creator><schema:artMedium>Oil on canvas</schema:artMedium><schema:artForm>Paintings</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/objects/3107/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork><schema:VisualArtwork><schema:image>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/internal/media/dispatcher/4247/full</schema:image><schema:name>Medical Treatment Sign</schema:name><schema:dateCreated>c. 1985</schema:dateCreated><schema:creator>Artist unidentified</schema:creator><schema:artMedium>Oil on Masonite</schema:artMedium><schema:artForm>Architecture</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/objects/3513/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork><schema:VisualArtwork><schema:image>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/internal/media/dispatcher/19040/full</schema:image><schema:name>Neckties Sign</schema:name><schema:dateCreated>1892</schema:dateCreated><schema:creator>Artist unidentified</schema:creator><schema:artMedium>Reverse painting and foil on glass</schema:artMedium><schema:description>tinsel painting</schema:description><schema:artForm>Architecture</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/objects/4450/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork><schema:VisualArtwork><schema:image>https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/internal/media/dispatcher/26080/full</schema:image><schema:name>Optician Sign</schema:name><schema:dateCreated>1900</schema:dateCreated><schema:creator>Artist unidentified</schema:creator><schema:artMedium>Gilded and painted cast zinc</schema:artMedium><schema:description>(including construction) Large cast zinc trade sign in the form of wire rim spectacles with banner below bearing the inscription in black lettering, "322 Louis Chasin 322."
