Motifs include butterflies, peacock feathers, fans, Kate Greenaway, pussy willows and two amusing patches of Gnomes bent over a cauldron and a frog with the words "Rather not Sir!" Initialled with machine embroidered applique letters "M V" couched in gold thread and applied in center of quilt on light patch. Back: green silk with three stripes. Batting of rose/mauve cotton, knotted through all three layers. Bordered all four sides with applied red and gold satin ribbons, ends hemmed under to form pointed peaks.  Tied with silk yarn.</value><value>Object information is a work in progress and may be updated with new research.
