Constructed of eight large central blocks: 22 3/4" X 18" and six smaller blocks either: 15" sq. Motifs embroidered in bright wool yarn include: children at water pumps, daisies, child blowing bubbles, owl, parasol, donkey and two overlapping hearts cut from cream muslin. All outside edges turned under and seamed with running stitch. Pieces hand stitched together, the seams finished with decorative stitching.
