Executed in single-crochet with gradations of colors deepening towards center. Edged with 37 "dollar" scallops of dark, double-layered wools in various weaves stitched to underside with black twined thread, the dollars finished with open buttonhole edging in red yarn. Underside: Center of rug backed with Ingrain carpeting shaped into oval formed of six carpet blocks and two curved end pieces, thread.
