DescriptionDouble Nine-Patch is a block-work pattern that was popular throughout the United States by the middle of the nineteenth century but not seen among the Amish until much later. The beautiful jewel-tone wool fabrics are typical of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Amish quilts, as is the precise, elaborate stitching found on quilts of this region.
