Discovered in 2010, the unmistakable artist was included in the PHOTO / BRUT: Collection Bruno Decharme & Compagnie exhibition presented at AFAM in 2021. These two compelling colored pencil and charcoal drawings were selected among 37 works newly available on the art market in June 2022. They are loaded with the typical themes and written annotations that form his artistic signature\u2014an ornamental network of architectural, floral, and figurative elements, including peculiar faces with prominent noses and serpents emerging from their mouths, airplanes, and buildings, depicted from various viewpoints all at once. While the first drawing shines by its surrealism, the second, dated 2014, is remarkable: enhanced with a collaged image that can evoke some sort of memorial installation or a sculpture recalling arte povera, this work suggests an interplay and causal connection between sources and the artist\u2019s drawing practice.","Object information is a work in progress and may be updatedwith new research.
