The metal is likely galvanized steel (steel coated with zinc). The figure is a stereotypical representation of a native or indigenous North American wearing a feathered headdress and leg coverings. The figure's eyes are fashioned out of a blue plastic buttons and adhered to the figure using a plastic covered metal wire, popularly known as a twist tie. It is uncertain what type of paint was applied to the metal, but the glossy quality of both the red and orange paint suggest the use of enamel. The artist used a matte finish paint for the blue, black, and white areas."},"edition":{"label":"Photo Credit","value":"American Folk Art Museum"},"medium":{"label":"Medium","value":"Paint on metal and plastic"},"geographyPlaceregion":{"label":"Place/Region","value":"Patterson"},"media":{"label":"Media","value":{"mediaURL":"https://collection.folkartmuseum.org/internal/media/dispatcher/25888/full","mediaDepartment":"Object Photographs","mediaType":"Image","mediaId":"25888"}},"title":{"label":"Title","value":"Untitled"},"geographyCity":{"value":"Patterson"},"textEntriesWebsitedisplaytext":{"value":["Objectinformation is a work in progress and may be updated with new research.
