Woman at Table with Parrot and Lamp
The sunotuous scene of an elegant kimono-clad woman, delicately poised for tea and artfully balancing her teacup and saucer, left pinky extended and spoon in right hand, preparing to stir, is one of luxury. The mix of patterns and textures was a response to the trend of Japanism in the arts. The fine embossed-foil backing adds to the richly patterned and glowing surfaces.
