Oliver Buckley was among the Berlin, Connecticut, tinsmiths attracted to Stevens Plains after the success of Zachariah Stevens's business. He founded his shop there in 1807, producing ware characterized by geometrical designs and heart-shaped leaves. The Buckley trademark, however, is the design of a four-lobed salmon pink flower surrounded by four round salmon buds.
