The primary subject of our phone call was finding the painting's date. (The work\u2019s donor and our records listed the date as n.d.) This initial discussion led to a total of two phone calls and two voicemail messages throughout that afternoon. She particularly like the 13th street market painting and had either the original painting or a reproduction of the work in her home. \u2022Zeldis found the painting\u2019s 1973 date surprising because she \u201conly moved to that neighborhood\u201d in 1971. \u2022Zeldis thinks she must have liked Tells Bakery because it reminded her of her aunt and credits it as the inspiration for the piece.     "]},"collections":{"label":"Collections","value":"Paintings"},"geography":{"label":"Geography","value":"New York"},"id":{"label":"Id","value":"153876"},"geographyState":{"value":"New York"},"geographyCountry":{"value":"United States"},"onview":{"label":"On View","value":"0"},"people":{"label":"Artist / Maker","value":{"displayOrder":"1","personRole":"Artist","personID":"761","content":"Malcah Zeldis"}},"classifications":{"label":"Classification(s)","value":"Paintings"},"textEntries":{"label":"Text Entries","value":["Object information is a work in progress and may be updated with new research.
