The Fraternal Order of Eagles was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1898 by a small group of theater owners. Originially it was called the \"Seattle Order of Good Things\" and was dedicated to the pursuit of Fun! They adopted the Eagle as their emblem and their new name a few years after its founding. After a time, the Order decided that the emphasis should be shifted to Fraternal service. Local units of the fraternity are called aeries and the national headquaters is known as the \"Grand Aerie.\" Columbus, Ohio serves as the order's quaters. The Columbia, PA chapter was entered on Dec 5, 1902. The conerstone of the lodge ruins is dated 1923. The chapter went out of existence in 1964 and archives were lost.","Object information is a work in progress and may be updatedwith new research.
