The length of the shoes is exaggerated. The lower part of the shoes is painted gold with a perforated, reinforced toe area and perforation marking the division between the lower and upper parts. The uppers are varnished wood with gold and red thread "shoe laces" laced up the front to the top. There is a hole or perforation on each side of the top on both shoes.
