There are also orangey-gold, violet and blue flowers with green leaves and brown stems in the painting.  The tinsel painting is surrounded by a black background and a wooden frame with a gessoed gold finish. The design of the parallel short dark lines are approximately 1/8" apart, around the border of the frame.
