Independent Order of Odd Fellows Sign for Northern Light Lodge No. 121
This sign was used by Odd Fellows Northern Light Lodge No. 121 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to mark its meeting place. Similar painted glass panels were used in large lanterns to illuminate a lodge room. The sign employs the technique of reverse painting on glass, which was popular from the mid-nineteenth century both as an art form and for sign painting.
